I was trying to get the petals right from a long time and finally got 'em today. Am not sure if this design is already used, but I worked this out myself! Here is the tutorial.
1. Chain about 5-6 chain stiches.
2. Connect the first and the last chain to form a loop.
3. Weave exactly 11 (for 6 petals) single crochet from the loop that we just made.
You should have something like this:
5. We are now going to make the petals.
6. Make a single chain. Loop once on the needle and double crochet from the next hole.
7. Loop once on the needle again and have another double crochet from the same hole.
8. Make a single chain stich.
9. Insert the needle in the next hole and seal. We have a petal ready! Repeat the same for all the 6 petals.
